Once you have come up with a number of potential options to explore further (see Foolproof Co-creation Exercise), the next stage is an open discussion about the themes that have been identified, exploring which options have most potential and why. Try to ensure that all attendees have the chance to share their thoughts. Sometimes a clear winner will emerge quickly, but if there are several promising ideas, you can use this matrix to help with prioritization. Take each theme in turn, asking the group to assess its likely business impact and how easy it would be to implement. The goal is to identify themes that score well on both dimensions, and the discussion around this will bring to light some of the implementational consequences of the different options. Once the whole group has identified the priorities, action plans for each priority can be developed collectively or in relevant sub-teams. These plans can then be shared, discussed and improved by the whole group, and next steps documented. |
